I got a couple diecast cars, but I also got this Rover Mandolin, which I have named Flatfoot after the folk punk band Flatfoot 56, the band that got me interested in the mandolin.
Actually, I have a tendency to name my new instruments after bands; my acoustic bass is named Calibretto, after Calibretto 13, another folk punk band; and my electric bass Valentine, after Twelve Gauge Valentine, a mathcore band.

I am suddenly intrigued by folk punk, as my tastes have tended to bluegrass and ska/punk over the years.

I’m beginning to absolutely love it as a genre. It’s so...folksy and different.
This song has a nice mandolin riff
And a awesome punk sound from their current release.
